How we collect, use and protect your personal data · Effective 30 October 2026

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Semicon Education Private Limited, which operates India Semicon Education Institute (ISEI) ("ISEI", "we", "us"), handles personal data when you visit this website, send us an enquiry, enrol in a programme or otherwise deal with us.

We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, ISEI is the Data Fiduciary.

Data we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit through our forms: name, organisation, designation, state, email, phone number, areas of interest and your message.
  • Enrolment details when you join a programme: identity and contact details, educational background, payment records, attendance, assessments, project work and certificates.
  • Partner details for universities, companies and government bodies: names and contact details of representatives.
  • Technical data collected automatically when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, mainly by the service providers listed below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health or financial account details through this website.

How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and set up partnership conversations.
  • To deliver programmes: enrolment, teaching, assessment, certification and learner support.
  • To provide placement support, including sharing learner profiles with prospective employers only with your consent.
  • To process fees and issue receipts and invoices.
  • To send programme updates. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent and you can opt out at any time.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations and to protect against fraud or misuse.

Consent and legal basis

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give (for example by ticking the consent box on our enquiry form), or for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as fulfilling a service you asked for or complying with law. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

Sharing your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run ISEI, such as website hosting (Vercel), form delivery (Web3Forms), email (Google) and payment gateways, bound to use it only on our instructions.
  • Partner universities and institutions where you enrol through them, limited to what the programme needs.
  • Employers and recruiters for placement support, only with your consent.
  • Authorities where required by law, court order or government request.

Some providers may process data outside India. Where this happens we rely on providers with appropriate safeguards and follow any restrictions notified by the Government of India.

How long we keep data

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact unless you become a learner or partner. Learner records (enrolment, assessment and certificate records) are kept for as long as needed to verify certificates and meet legal and tax requirements. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.
